In issue No. 124 Kristin Jacob details her experiences at one of Martin Black’s ranch schools. I really enjoyed this article and felt like it touched on so many themes that are dear to the hearts of so many Eclectic readers. It got me thinking about my own experience at one of Buck’s home clinics with my late horse Belich.
The changes that he made being ridden all day and out in the hills stayed with him the rest of his life; and I left with great new friends and memories. I went from thinking that we were going to die every day to really being able to enjoy riding my horse out and learning to trust that he was going to keep us safe when the terrain got tough.
